New Movies: An Epic Movie, Glastonbury Isle of Light

Being the first to know about this new epic movie is a privilege and, dare I say it, a right! I live in Glastonbury and talk has it that Glastonbury, Isle of Light is about to be shot here in my home town. So let me be the first to tell you about how Glastonbury is about to become the centre of attention to the masses.

The masses, I hear you say?

Well, in mystical circles, Glastonbury has always been thought of as an Isle of Light.

It is, after all, been renowned as the heart chakra of the world.

It is no wonder, therefore, that this great secret is about to be revealed in this epic movie.

Joseph of Arimathea is thought to have visited Glastonbury, holding the chalice from the last supper of Jesus Christ. This holy grail has sparked much intrigue from all walks of life over many generations.

The land was that of swamp and as he placed foot to land, upon a hill, he stabbed his staff into the sodden footholding.

It is not surprising that, later in years, the staff blossomed and bloomed into what we know today as the holy thorn tree. Our Queen still has a sprig of this on her Christmas table as, unusually, the tree blossoms twice a year for Summer Solstice (21st June) and Winter Solstice (21st December). This is significant as it marks the lightest and the darkest days, respectively.

Filmmakers who worked on The Lord of the Rings are now planning to create a new major motion picture centring around the myths and legends of this green and pleasant land. Joseph of Arimathea (the great uncle ot Jesus), escapes Jerusalem for Britain. He becomes an enemy to the Roman Empire and begs for help from Caractacus.

Glastonbury, Isle of Light is about to go Global in time, it seems, for the 21st December 2012. This in itself is a significant date in terms of, what many people view, as a time of great world change and has been documented from way back to the times of the Mi an civilization.

Richard Taylor, an Oscar-winning special effects supervisor, and Producer Ned Dowd (Last of the Mohicans) have been talking to our local tourist board, Visit Somerset. It was leaked that there is going to be an A-list cast who will be working on the film.

Filled with winning hearts and minds, there will be battles, but more importantly, Caractacus's friendship with Joseph. This really is the things that Glastonbury dreams are made of. The reality, truely this when you visit here. However, Galatia Films, from whence the idea originated, are determined to keep the plot secret for the time being, anyway.

Glastonbury, Isle of Light, looks set to become an epic movie. This is some 50-mllion-pound's worth of budget for this film - why else could it be anything other when, like me, you live the dream! This is, indeed, 'the greatest story never told' (Quoted by Daniel McNicoll the Producer and writer of Glastonbury, Isle of Light, BBC Radio, Somerset) and worth every penny of its investment.
