She Was Wiser Than The Trees And Older Than The Hills
There once lived an old lady. She was wiser than the trees and older than the hills. No one would listen to her wisdom. They were young and foolish. Why would they want to listen to a batty old woman? She felt sad for the world's folks living in ignorance. They would go their own way, hurting each other and making the same mistakes day in and day out. She had good intentions and didn't want the world to suffer so.

The Little Oak Was Crying Tears Of Gum
One day she ventured out into the woods. There before her was a sapling of an oak tree. As she looked closer, she could see sap drip from a cut on what, we would view as nothing more than a twig anchored to the ground. It was as if the little oak was crying tears of gum. She stopped and stroked the sapling.
There upon the tip of the bud appeared a bright light. She marvelled at its beauty as it sparkled and shone. The light grew bigger and bigger and became all-consuming. It engulfed her very being.
There before her she had a sudden knowing - a sixth sense. She didn't need a voice or a sound to understand... she just knew. There before her, splayed upon the ground, the knowledge of the world was laid before her. These were all things that she knew and more! The knowledge fluttered like butterflies - they were golden, glittery paper pieces, all transparent with a hue.

The Magical Transition
This was her ether. As she stood and watched, the knowledge melted into her and the sapling grew. It grew taller and thicker, bigger and stronger. It grew fingers that stretched into branches thick with budding leaves. The magical transition took her breath away and as she watched on with ore, she noticed something strange. Her fingers were no longer crooked. Her wrinkled skin appeared as if it had been ironed - smooth and youthful. Her back was no longer arched over.

A Wise Old Oak
There above her the sapling was no longer a stick, but an old, wise oak. She could feel the wetness of the earlier rainfall and noticed a gleaming puddle. Looking into this she saw something wonderful... she was young!
The tree had taken her old years and given her its youth. Now that she was young, people would listen to her wise words and they would not suffer anymore.
"I am Good Intentions," said the fresh faced girl, as she peered into her reflection, "this will be my new name. My wisdom and guiding light will help the people - they will be my tree people." And, guess what? As the old oak glowed a glow, Good Intentions led the people to a better world. Her essence, indeed, was mother earth - older than the hills and greater than the mountains. As her followers looked on, goodness bestowed them. They became known as the tree people and, like the trees, caused no harm. The work of the oak sapling, therefore, was done.

As you drift, think of Good Intentions and how she will protect you through the night. For she is older than the hills and greater than the mountains. Wisdom looks beyond the age of youth.
